15 June, the second Tropezian Bravade. It marks the day in 1637 when 21 Spanish galleys sailed into the gulf and left with nothing.

16, 17 and 18 May, every year since 1558. Three days of costume, drums and musket fire. The one thing here that visitors watch rather than join.

Twice a week, all year round, the Place des Lices turns back into a real Provencal market. More than a hundred stalls under the plane trees, 8am to 1pm. Come before 10am.

More than 500 Porsches on the harbour and the roads of the gulf, three days, free. Created in 1993, always the second weekend of October.

Born of a bet in 1981, ended after a fatal accident in 1995, reborn as Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez in 1999. It no longer runs, but its course survives in the Club 55 Cup.

Around fifteen evenings of theatre, comedy and music in an open-air amphitheatre at 9.30pm. Created in 1985 in tribute to Gerard Philipe.
