From Quai Suffren, facing Café de Paris, the Brigantin II casts off several times a day. Stéphane and Victoria hold the helm, and they know every villa, every rock, every story of the gulf.
The classic trip lasts an hour. You first sail past the old Tropezian quarters seen from the water: la Ponche, the Citadelle, the marine cemetery perched above la Glaye beach. Then the boat heads towards the Baie des Canoubiers, its umbrella pines, clear waters and those villas you've heard about forever. Commentary is bilingual (French and English), peppered with humour and film-set stories: And God Created Woman, the Gendarmes series, up to Sous le Soleil. Yes, there's a bit of fun.
There's also a sunset outing (1.5 hours, in season), where golden light does all the work, and custom private charters (to Pampelonne, Cap Camarat, swimming possible). The boat has a bar and toilets. For parking, allow 10 minutes on foot from Les Lices or the Port car park. Daily departures, except bad weather, April to October. Booking advised in high season.
