Leave the sailing school at Plage des Canebiers via chemin de l'Estagnet. Tarmac first, hemmed by high villa walls. Then the path tilts seaward. Yellow markers, customs officers' code. From here, it's the coast that leads.
Pointe de la Rabiou opens the show. Flat rocks, discreet creek, immense villas tucked in the pines. You skirt les Parcs de Saint-Tropez, that ultra-secure domain where billionaires play castaway. The trail undulates constantly, up, down, never flat but never brutal. Ankles and thighs earn their keep. Pointe de l'Ay, then Cap de Saint-Tropez: here the view swings due south, the gulf spreads 180 degrees wide.
You round Cap des Salins. Plage des Salins appears, long, blonde, almost wild off-season. Swim break mandatory if it's summer. After, two options: retrace your steps along the shore, or loop inland via chemin de la Moutte (quiet lane, less charm but it cuts back). Bring water, no shade for three-quarters of the way. Summer: start early or finish late, otherwise it hammers.
