It started in 1955 as the canteen for Roger Vadim's film crew. Seventy years on, the same family still runs it, the Laurents. No show, no thundering DJ: just raw vegetables in a basket, whole sea bream baked in salt, tomato spaghetti that supposedly made Naomi Campbell weep (or so they say).
The thing to know: book at least two weeks ahead in season, and ask for a table on the sand, not the deck. The difference is having your feet five metres from the water for the whole lunch.
