Fish and bouillabaisse · €€€
Le Girelier
Remarquable
Facing the yachts on the port, this place has been run by the Priou family for three generations now. The bouillabaisse must be ordered the day before (no exceptions), arrives in two seatings, and costs 78 euros well spent. Chef Yann still makes his rouille by hand, ground in a mortar. You taste the difference on the first spoonful.
Ask for a table on the back terrace, under the plane tree. Quieter, and the boats coming into the port stay in view.

Oysters at the counter at dawn, facing the market. Where locals actually begin their morning.
La Tarte Tropézienne
Remarquable
The original, baptised by Bardot in 1955. A cream brioche with a secret recipe that has never left the oven.
