Sénéquier
Très bien
Those red chairs have become a symbol, perhaps THE symbol of Saint-Tropez. Since 1887, people have taken their coffee here facing the boats. Sagan, Picasso, Colette wrote or argued over their cups. Order an espresso, watch the world pass, maybe a tropézienne tart in bistro form, it's decent, though Micka remains the real thing.
But the real pleasure arrives when the season empties. Early October, nine in the morning, a soft mistral pushing through the port. That's when Sénéquier becomes yours.

Remarquable
La Ponche's table, where Sagan and Schneider spent their summers. Salt-tinged cooking, bay views, service that knows what it is doing.
Chez Madeleine
Très bien
Oysters at the counter at dawn, facing the market. Where locals actually begin their morning.
Le Girelier
Remarquable
Bouillabaisse to order ahead, run by the same family for three generations. Terrace shaded by a plane tree, port-side.
